After months of using the Bolt Fitness Storm Series Gemini Peregrine Lateral Raise Chest Fly Combo power rack attachment it in my training, I can safely it’s both unique and provides a great price per functionality especially for home gym users. It combines arguably two of the most important muscle groups of all time and would be a great addition to anyone looking to add versatility without sacrificing space or their wallet.

The Fray Fitness Plate Loaded Leg Extension and Leg Curl combo is one of many budget friendly options that allows home gym users to have a dedicated quad and hamstring accessory machine combined, in a small footprint, and at a reasonable price. The functionality of this machine is on par with its competitors, but being at the higher end of that range, I think it falls shorts in a few select categories. Overall, it’s a good price per value but I don’t think it stands above the other options in that $300-700 price range as being significantly better or worse, but if you can find it used or on sale, I would definitely recommend this machine as it does work exactly as intended.

The BalanceFrom/Signature Fitness stair stepper aka. “The Walmart Stair Climber” is one of the cheapest stair machines on the market today. I’ve owned it now for over a year, using it 4-5 times every week, and it’s still going as strong as it was on day one. At the time of posting this video, it’s still sold and shipped via Walmart.com and now even Amazon, for approximately $1500. The price per functionality of the machine cannot be beat and I highly recommend this stair climber for anybody looking for a budget friendly cardio option for their home gym or light commercial setting.

The Signature Fitness Rowing Machine for $300 on Amazon had all the potential to be a cheap but functional alternative to the Concept 2 RowErg. However, in dramatic fashion, this rowing machine failed to live up to even the minimal expectations that I hoped for it. The overall design, fit, and finish was acceptable for the price point but the machine quickly broke and was rendered useless despite very limited use.

Since I was almost forcibly ejected from the rower during breakage and for other reasons discussed in this video, I don’t recommend this rower to anybody regardless of the individual use case. I would highly advise that if you are looking for a budget Concept 2 alternative, even just for occasional use, you stick to the name brand options. A tried and true name brand rower for $600 used is still more cost effective than a potential trip to the ER.

After 9 months of owning and using the 120LB Pepin Fast Series Adjustable Dumbbells, I have been nothing short of delighted. Now with the REP x Pepin collaboration and the more affordable price point, these are bar none the best adjustable dumbbell on the market across any price range.

I sold my full set of urethane dumbbells after purchasing these because the Pepin’s feel as balanced but take up significantly less space. In other ways they are even better: a thicker handle diameter, slightly more aggressive (perfect) knurling, the weight distribution is spread evenly around your hand, and the speed of change is 5-10 seconds between any weight increments.

If anybody is on the fence about swapping, upgrading, or buying the Pepin Fast Series, either the original or pre-ordering the REP x Pepin version, I am happy to share that they have met or exceeded all my original expectations and can comfortably say they ar worth every penny.

I can honestly say after 6 months of use that it's a good but not a great product considering inherent design restrictions, lack of features, and the $1800 MSRP. There are potentially better alternatives including cheaper versions from other manufacturers with similar functionality, or even used commercial options within this price point that I would suggest first.
